Since the early 1970s, Claudia Andujar has been committed to the cause of the Yanomami Indians living in the heart of the Amazon rainforest and is the author of the most important photographic work dedicated to them to date. A founding member of the Brazilian NGO Comissão Pró Yanomami (CCPY), the photographer has played a fundamental role in the recognition of their territory by the Brazilian government. This publication highlights Claudia Andujar’s extraordinary contribution to the art of photography and the defense of human rights, as well as the preservation of the environment and cultural diversity.
