Southern Geometries, from Mexico to Patagonia
49.50 €
From October 14, 2018 to February 24, 2019, the Fondation Cartier pour l’art contemporain presented the exhibition Southern Geometries, from Mexico to Patagonia. Including both contemporary art and the vestiges of ancient civilizations, Southern Geometries forges visual links between media and bears witness to the persistence and renewal of a geometric vocabulary in Latin-American art. The exhibition catalog offers to discover all the exhibited art works: ceramics, painting, sculpture, architecture, photography, drawing, textiles. The contributions of artists, architects, art historian, art critics and anthropologists, short texts on the works and maps enlighten this vast overview, revealing the continuity of lines and forms present in Latin American art through time.
